I hadn't realized that people can specify where their donations should be applied when they give to the Red Cross. Thanks for mentioning this.
It would have helped if you had mentioned groups other than the Red Cross that were highly rated and doing good work in providing aid after hurricane Sandy.

The specific request from CNBC for that interview was to discuss their planned fund raiser that evening for the American Red Cross.
